I feel so lonely, I feel excluded, I don’t feel enough for anyone nor anything. Going to the psychiatrist and psychologist doesn’t help anymore.

You’re not alone, even if your brain tells you so badly that you are. And you are not the only one that has gone through this. My first years here were so difficult and it felt like I would never be able to surpass these feelings or feel like myself again. It took a lot of time and work and I even had to leave school for a year but I was able to do it. I know it’s hard but I also know you can do this. You are not alone. I literally can’t asleep except from the hours of 3 - 6 am and then 10 - 11 am, like roughly 5 hours in fragmented sessions. Does anyone know why that could be or how to fix it? Genuinely awful

Don’t use your phone for an hour before bed. Keep waking up at the same time and don’t take naps so you get into a rhythm. 

For example, on night 1, you sleep from 3 - 6 and then wake up and start your day at 7 AM regardless of how you feel. You’ll feel tired and shit the entire day. Then, 10 pm rolls around and you’re either going to fall asleep at 10 bc you’re tired, or sleep only from 3 - 6 again. 

If it’s 3-6, you’ll feel even more tired on day 2 at like 10 pm and then will def sleep.

No I feel that too. But I think what #1 means is that you always have that option. By being at Harvard we get the ability to go do amazing things, but we can ALWAYS fall back on living a more peaceful life

I feel like Harvard is just supposed to show you the amount of opportunities you have, so you know your options. But the decision what to do is yours, there’s no single way to do Harvard, and at the end all you need is to be happy. Just do what brings you joy

Sure, then yes, those are all massive defense from Harvard, towards which Harvard gave you no benefit M indeed, at least delayed and almost certainly harmed your chances at success within that particular job. Sounds like you caught it early, that’s great!! Now share your concerns with your close family and ask for some help,  Ideally with a professional.  Be truthful, Tell them how hopeless you feel

Being able to recognize the pattern and admit to it is a great first step. Doing it alone is tough, so share with those you’re close to, and ask them to help you as you beat the addiction
